Eljuan Henderson (b.1990, Tulsa, OK) is a visual artist based in Brooklyn, NY who works with painting and photography. Eljuan Henderson's work thoughtfully disrupts the conventions of traditional darkroom printing processes by extracting and recombining certain moments within a photographic negative. This, along with the use of painting, drawing, and photograms gives his work a greater sense of depth, revealing an emotive space that invites new interpretations.
In 2021 he attended The International Center of Photography One Year Creative Practice program where he was awarded the ICP Director’s Fellowship, the Christian Louboutin Scholarship and the Christian Louboutin Artist Grant. Upon graduating in 2022 he was qualified to participate in the Creatives Rebuild New York, Guaranteed Income for Artist program.
